The American and Muslim slavery Era had a lot of similarities and differences dealing with social, economic and political themes.
The differences that were social between the American and Muslims Slavery was in the American slave were picked because of their race and or color . The Muslims slave were picked based off their religion , so if you were not a muslim you were their slaves. "The origin of Muslim slavery is unbelief, and the black slaves are like Christians, except they are majus, pagans."(Document 2) "The color prejudice that is maintained in so crude a form by the frees son of Americas , not only against genuine African....... is a darker complexion". ?(Document 7). The muslim nations eventhough they treated their slave well dependent on the slaves alot without them most of their agiculture would not be there. The American slave trade was banned in 1865 but the Muslim slave trade didnt really end until 1980.(document 1) The numbers of slave proves how much they were needed. " Sugar Plantation and Coffee Plantation 50,000 slaves. (Document 4). After the slave trade was banned in the Muslim Nation the value on slaves increased dramatically.
The Muslims had a different take on was slavery okay or not they believe that the Holy Law permits slavery nut it said the slave must be treated like humans. In America some people felt that slavery was not right some felt that Africans were beneath them. The puinshment was also different for the
